Call to Order:
Chairman Lance Roman called the meeting of the Planning Commission to order at 7:30 p.m.

Roll Call:
Present were Lance Roman, Bill Stege, Kent Kelly, John Peppler, Fred Missad, Lois Saltsman and Sue Nichols.

Agenda: Site plan review for Mike Sutherland, he was unable to attend the meeting per Fred Missad.
.
Approval of Minutes: Bill Stege moved to approve the minutes of July, 2010 and Kent Kelly supported. The motion passed unanimously. June's Special Meeting Minutes moved to approve by Kent Kelly, John Peppler supported.

Correspondence: None

Township Board Report:
No minutes were yet available and will be supplied at the next meeting. Kent Kelly gave a brief overview and said that the Board would like us to review shielding/fencing around dumpsters; they requested a road repair list from us along with comments on the revisions the Planning Commission had submitted.

Zoning Administrators Report:
Bob Hawley issued two land use permits in July. He also reported on a varied list of complaints that he has received and will continue reporting complaints monthly. His complete report is on file.

Zoning Board of Appeals:
There is a hearing scheduled for August 18, 2010.

Public Comments:
An unidentified man brought to our attention that we are supposed to approve any changes to the tower located next to the GA Fire Dept. Bob Hawley stated that he has not been asked for a land use permit. Kent Kelly said that there was contact with John Soderholm and he is currently negotiating with Amer. Towers/Verizon people regarding the size of the building.

New Business:
All Commission Members were assigned sections of the Master Plan for review and comment.

Kent Kelly and Bill Stege supplied copies of the draft regarding Waterfront Regulations. The draft was submitted to Kasson & Empire Planning Commissions, Glen Lake Assoc and Bob Hawley, GA Zoning Administrator

Fred Missad supplied definitions for Docks, Flagpoles, Patios, Decks and Boat Hoists.

Old Business:
Minimum building square footage for business use. Sue Nichols suggested removing this item, which with proper enforcement of our current application and regulations should be adequate.

Review need of windmill regulation inclusion. - Kent Kelly said that Empire has a thirty one page windmill ordinance that they are sending to County and he will supply a copy when it comes back.
.
Parking and use of RV's on residential lots: The Commission had an open discussion and we will reevaluate looking towards no permanent sewage disposal hook up.
